Follow a full battery-electric conversion from donor assessment and component matching to supervised installation, controlled testing and an evidence-based handover. Learn to make assumptions visible — and to recognise when a project should not proceed.
Established mechanics use the 6-month route after demonstrating ICE and electrical readiness. The 12 and 24-month routes reach the same conversion stage after their ICE progression gates. Initial delivery concentrates on supported light passenger vehicles; bus, Coaster, school-bus and three-wheeler conversions need separately developed specialist provision.
Build a conversion dossier: donor or rig identity, calculations and assumptions, component matrix, approved work pack, parts traceability, individual tasks, test results and limitations.
At least six observed installation/interface tasks and two protected-rig or approved-system diagnostic cases per learner, plus an individual project defence.
Assess a Corolla-type donor against a defined Nigerian duty cycle, prepare a design and cost recommendation, then contribute to an approved rig or donor build. The actual platform, kit and validation achieved appear on your transcript.
The common 660-hour conversion stage: 4 online weeks at 15 hours plus 20 physical weeks at 30 hours. It is the whole 6-month route and the final stage of the longer routes — no extra conversion fee or extra stage.
Full battery-electric conversion only — not an engine-retaining hybrid retrofit. Course assessment, engineering release and permission for public-road use are separate decisions: the certificate records the learning achieved, not a road-approved vehicle or a guaranteed range.
Your route follows your starting point and includes this subject. Free screening confirms which route is right for you.
One tuition fee per route, paid in instalments. See the fee schedule · Successful learners receive the DMECH completion certificate for their route and an assessed skills transcript. Any external qualification will be identified separately in the course offer, including its awarding body, eligibility, assessment and fees.
