Learn to turn a vehicle complaint into a test plan, a justified repair decision and a clear customer report. Build practical mechanical and auto-electrical skills through measured work on supported light vehicles and protected training rigs.
Developing technicians use the 12-month route to build the ICE core before conversion. Beginners use the 24-month route for foundation and deeper repair practice. Experienced mechanics entering the 6-month route demonstrate diagnostic competence at admission and develop converted-vehicle diagnostic cases — this is not a beginner ICE course compressed into six months.
Produce a complaint-to-test plan, select a current procedure, carry out an authorised inspection or diagnostic task, interpret measurements, verify the repair and prepare a job card with limits and next steps.
Observed service and inspection tasks, engine condition and repair records, low-voltage fault cases and an individual practical exit assessment.
A supported Toyota Corolla with a starting complaint. Using its actual year, VIN and service information, you separate battery, circuit and control causes. (A teaching example — not a promise of a specific vehicle for every learner.)
12-month route: the 630-hour ICE stage, then the conversion stage. 24-month route: 1,320 hours of foundations and 720 hours of deeper repair, then the conversion stage. 6-month route: diagnostic competence is checked at entry and used in converted-vehicle control, validation and service cases.
You pass the ICE exit and electrical readiness gate before entering restricted conversion practice.
