These terms apply when you pre-order a product from the DMECH EV Store at dmechservices.ng/ev-store. Products in the store are sourced from manufacturers and suppliers in China and imported to Nigeria by DMECH Services Limited (“DMECH”, “we”) for you.
Your written order confirmation (see below) sets out the details of your purchase. If it says something different from these terms, the written order confirmation applies.
Sending a pre-order on the website is a request, not a purchase. Nothing is payable when you send it.
We will contact you, normally within 24 hours, and send a written order confirmation showing the exact product and specification, the quantity, the delivered price in naira, the deposit, the expected delivery time, the warranty and any installation work. A contract is formed only when you accept that written order confirmation and pay the deposit.
Prices and specifications on the website are a guide. Supplier prices, shipping costs and exchange rates change, so the price that applies to you is the one in your written order confirmation.
To reserve your order you pay a deposit of 40% of the confirmed price, unless your written order confirmation states a different amount. We place the order with the supplier once your deposit has cleared.
The remaining balance is due when we tell you the product has arrived in Nigeria and before it is delivered, collected or installed.
Pay only into the DMECH Services Limited company bank account named on your written order confirmation. DMECH staff will never ask you to pay into a personal account. If anyone does, do not pay — call us on 0802 940 1484.
Once your deposit is paid, the naira price in your written order confirmation is fixed, unless the confirmation says otherwise or a change is caused by new government duties, levies or taxes introduced after you ordered. If that happens we will tell you before asking for the balance, and you may cancel with a full refund of your deposit.
Delivery times are estimates based on factory production, shipping schedules and customs clearance. We will keep you updated at each stage and tell you promptly about any delay.
If your product has not arrived in Nigeria within 60 days after the estimated delivery date in your written order confirmation, you may cancel and we will refund your deposit in full.
You will receive a full refund of your deposit if:
If you cancel for any other reason before we have placed the order with the supplier, we will refund your deposit in full.
If you cancel for any other reason after we have placed the order with the supplier, we may keep the costs we have already incurred and cannot recover (for example, supplier charges, freight and clearing already paid), up to the value of your deposit, and refund the rest. We will show you how this is worked out.
Refunds are paid into the account you paid from, normally within 14 working days.
We check each product against your written order confirmation before handover. Please inspect it when it is delivered or collected and tell us about any damage or missing items within 48 hours.
Electric vehicle chargers must be installed by a qualified electrician on a suitable, protected electrical supply. DC fast chargers also need a site survey. Installation is not included in the product price unless your written order confirmation says so. We are not responsible for faults caused by installation work we did not carry out.
Electric vehicles in the store are China-market cars, new or used, sourced and inspected for you by DMECH. Photos on the website are examples of the model, not the car you will receive.
For a used car, your written order confirms its year, mileage, version and colour, and we send you its pre-shipment inspection report, photos and battery health report before it ships. China-market vehicles charge through a GB/T port, and their screens and apps are set up for China; we tell you what to expect for your model before you order.
The delivered price shown on the website is an estimate worked out from today’s exchange rate, typical freight, customs levies, port and clearing costs, delivery to your state and DMECH’s sourcing, inspection and handling fee. It assumes the import duty and VAT exemption for electric vehicles, which needs an Import Duty Exemption Certificate (IDEC) for each car; if the exemption is not granted, duty and VAT are added as shown on the product page. Your written order confirms the final price.
Every electric vehicle bought from the DMECH EV Store includes 12 months or 20,000 km of maintenance, whichever comes first, from the date you take delivery:
Not included: parts, tyres and the 12 V battery (discounted, not free), accident damage, misuse, and faults caused by repairs or modifications made elsewhere.
Maintenance is carried out at our Lagos workshop. If you are outside Lagos, you can bring the car to us or book a mobile technician visit — the service is still included, and travel is charged at cost.
The maintenance plan stays with the car if you sell it within the year. A factory warranty does not usually transfer to a used imported car.
Products come with the manufacturer warranty stated on the product page and in your written order confirmation. We handle warranty claims for you with the manufacturer and provide diagnostics and support in Nigeria.
The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, accidents, an unsuitable power supply, unauthorised repairs or modification, or events outside anyone’s control. Your rights under Nigerian consumer protection law are not affected.
